Olwen Grindley is a Registered Osteopath. She trained at the renowned British School of Osteopathy (now University College of Osteopathy) in London and holds a Masters in Osteopathy.

Olwen is registered with the Osteopathic Council of Ireland (OCI) and the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC) in the UK.

​

Her primary degree was a B.A. International in University College, Dublin (UCD), where she studied German and Archaeology and also spent a year in Germany on the Erasmus programme. 

 

She followed this up with professional dance training, resulting in a third-level qualification in Dance Performance from Folkwang University of the Arts (aka. Pina Bausch school). Olwen has danced with companies in Germany, Ireland, England and New York. Her touring as a dancer has taken her as far as Japan, Korea, Russia, Estonia, Bulgaria and Mexico.

Having been a professional performer and choreographer for dance and theatre, Olwen has first-hand knowledge of the demands of a high-pressure career which depends on physical capabilities. This also gives her an insight into sport at all levels, from amateur to professional.

For Olwen, there is a strong link between dance and osteopathy, which is based on understanding how the pelvis is the foundation of both professions. This understanding has kindled a passion for osteopathy that is equal to her passion for dance.
